Winter was ending, so the beast took the beauty and some visitors to the beach in February, 2005.
In getting married to each other about a quarter century ago, Andy and Mary Ann (Mac) brought together two really diverse, yet wonderful families.

This is the Ciernick family with Mary Ann, brother John, father Dan, mother Rosemary, brother Frank, sister Rose, brother Bernard, sister Helen, and brother Vince. They all got together at our house for this Easter 2005 picture. We lost Dan in 2008.

This is what happens when two Catholic parents get married and have seven kids. These are just Mary Ann's parents, siblings, spouses and their children. No great grandkids yet. I count 22, but it's easy to miss a few. Andy's family has even more, which explains why we don't try to get the 60+ members of both families together at the same time. The only person missing in the picture is Frank's wife Chin.
From left to right, we have Mac, Bernie (Andy's sister), Gerry & Elmer (parents), Dan, and Joanne (another sister) on Chrismas day 2004. We lost pops in 2006.
Got most of Dan and a piece of the incredibly camera shy (and fast) Drew on Christmas day 2004.

Here is our new graduate with her very happy parents. Christina graduated from Presentation High School in May, 2004 and is now studying business at West Valley.
My mother and father, Elmer and Geraldine Phillips at their wedding. My dad was a Seabee, mom was a Wave. Later, my dad built a career as a carpenter, still later working as a business agent for the union. Mom was an elementary school teacher. They retired to Clear Lake, Hawaii, Roseville, San Jose, Lake Almanor and finally to Lincoln. Yes, mom is a gypsy and feels a need to move about as often as most people buy a new car.
Dan sent me this for my birthday 3-22-04. He got us all at our best.
We visited the wine country in November of 2003. Mac is the cute short one. Andy's the other one. I sure hope that's a female pig.
Ma & Pa Phillips. In order, Pat, Joanne, Andy, Pa (Elmer), Mark, Berni, Ma (Geraldine), John & Genny. There must be a cute guy walking by that Pat's zeroed in on.
Dang! Look at what my parents did. A few grandkids are missing, but most of us were at pop's 80th. I think we have 28 out of a total of 33 or so.
The family dog, Jaz, seems to have found a place she really doesn't belong. She passed on August 28, 2006 at around 15. Now she can sit anywhere she pleases.
